Misty Pilgrim
Misty has been a practicing therapist for 14 years, and has experienced in residential, outpatient, and acute inpatient mental health. She's trained numerous interns from local universities. She is licensed in the state of New Mexico as a clinical professional Counselor and a Clinical Social Worker, and is currently applying for license in the state of Hawaii. She is the founder of Pilgrim Behavioral Health and the Albuquerque Anxiety Center. In her previous life she was a high school Algebra teacher, and her background in education helps her to be especially effective in teaching her clients how to better manage their challenges.
Misty holds master's degrees in Educational Psychology, Professional Counseling, and Clinical Social Work. She has has completed training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy from the Beck Institute for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, the Massachusetts General Hospital Psychiatry Academy, The Center for Deployment Psychology, The International Obsessive Compulsive Foundation, and the Trichotillomania Learning Center, among others.In her spare time, Misty practices doing one thing every day that scares her, and oil painting, which are not mutually exclusive.
Kelsi Serrano
Kelsi graduated with her Master's Degree in Social Work in 2022 from New Mexico Highlands University. As a recent graduate, she has continued working with many of her passions while obtaining training in various evidence-based therapies. Kelsi's career started off in reverse, gaining experience in many areas prior to obtaining her degree. She worked many years with victims of domestic violence providing emergency case management services, often being their support while they waited for therapy to become available or while they waited for themselves to be ready for therapy. For the past 4 years, Kelsi has been immersed within the military realm providing behavioral health case management to the New Mexico Army National Guard, where she continued working with individuals suffering from Anxiety, Depression, and PTSD.
